EL DORADO HILLS- Loved ones and friends came together to remember the woman from El Dorado Hills who was shot to death outside a pub Jan. 7 during a robbery and car jacking.

There were two different tributes for 31-year-old Khrista Ibarolle happening at the same time Sunday night.
The vigil, held outside 36 Handles Pub, where the shooting happened, was open to the community.

More than a 100 people turned out to sing and pray. Friends as well as complete strangers stopped by to remember the Ibarolle.

"It was very nice that members of the community that didn't know her turned out and shared their shock and support," said Ben Bodea, a man who dated Ibarolle.

"Even though we didn't know her at all, when it happens anywhere it's tragic. When it happens close to home, you really feel it in a very big way," said David who attended the vigil in El Dorado Hills. "It's mindless. It's senseless."

Ibarolle's beloved dog was at the vigil. Numerous photographs placed at the makeshift memorial outside the pub show Ibarolle with her pet.

"Her favorite companion was Anela who she called Angel," according to the statement from Ibarolle's family in South Dakota that was read at the vigil.

The statement from her family also said: "Love and peace was her mantra. For her to endure such a violent death is everything she did not believe in."

Ibarolle's aunt and cousin were at the candlelight vigil in El Dorado Hills. The vigil organizer said the aunt will be flying back to South Dakota with Ibarolle's remains.

A second vigil was held at a restaurant in Folsom. Co-workers and friends came together to remember Ibarolle. She was a jewelry appraiser at the Home Consignment Center. The close friend and co-worker who was with Ibarolle the night of the shooting managed to get away uninjured.

She attended the vigil in Folsom. She wasn't ready to share her thoughts Sunday night.
