Telugu Association hosts SanKranthi and 7th Anniversary Celebration

The Telugu Association of Greater Sacramento (TAGS) is celebrating the Indian harvest festival “Sankranti” and its 7th year Anniversary with a gamut of cultural events.

Over 150 local artists and performers are scheduled to perform.

When:  Saturday, Jan. 22 from 3p.m.-10p.m.
Where: Folsom High School Theatre and Auditorium
            
Telugu speaking citizens come from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, India and are one of the largest in the steadily increasing population of Indians in Sacramento.  TAGS is a non-profit organization formed to protect and preserve the literature and culture of Telugu people.

Advance tickets are $10 adults and $5 for children (ages 6-12) and are purchasable by calling (408) 461-TELUGU or at www.sactelugu.org .  Tickets are also available at the door for $3 more.  Tickets include admission and authentic festival dinner.
